We’re returning to Gostynin! You are well acquainted with this area from our Spring 2023 Campaign. Just like last year, in the Gostynin County, in close cooperation with the County Office, we will be restoring forest areas belonging to private individuals who, without our support, would not be able to renew these areas so efficiently. The trees were damaged during a storm in July 2022. Thanks to the support of our Partners, we will restore 3.35 hectares of forest there, planting 31,000 trees – pines, birches, and larches.

Similar to the Autumn 2023 Action, we will be restoring forest areas in the Tuchola County that were destroyed by the devastating storm in August 2017. With the help of the employees from the Department of Geodesy, Real Estate Management, and Natural Resources of the Tuchola County Office, we managed to reach the owners of the damaged forest areas. As a result, during the upcoming action, we will restore approximately 2.25 hectares of forest there, introducing a total of 18,900 pines, oaks, beeches, birches, and biocenotic species into the ecosystem.

Located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, the Żary municipality is another place where, thanks to the support of our partners, we will plant trees this spring – 10,300 pines and birches. In collaboration with the plot owner, the Żary municipality, we will afforest a 1.12-hectare plot, thereby completing a reclamation process that has been ongoing for over 20 years on land that was once a landfill site. As a result of this collaboration with the Żary municipality, the funds saved by the municipality will be used to equip a playground located in one of the towns within the municipality.

Another new location on the green map of Posadzimy.pl. This spring, our seedlings will also be planted near Poznań. We will plant as many as 21,100 trees on a plot requiring renewal, covering an area of 2.81 hectares. The area where we will be planting is a plot owned by a private individual, where 2.61 hectares of forest was affected by dieback, and the remaining 0.20 hectares were destroyed by fire. The entire area had to be cleared of dead trees, and now it needs to be renewed. We will plant: pines, pedunculate oaks, birches, wych elms, and sycamore maples here.

Our seedlings will be sent to another new location: the Lubaczów County in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Our trees will grow in the Wielkie Oczy and Horyniec-Zdrój communes. The 13,880 trees we have planted will restore the local forests, which were damaged by a storm in 2022.
